Obama and General Motors selling Russian cars in Venezuela? | Big ...
Hugo Chavez is "progress" for his people every day. The final realization of communism in Venezuela is the agreement with Russian automaker Lada AutoVAZ for 2500 - including the Lada Niva, according to reports.
No word yet if Chavez is ready to punish the people of the resurrection of the Trabb - parts of which are also in the picture.
There is no information if this will be the production Niva Chavez - the classics of Soviet design and new engines General (Chevrolet Niva) design.
The joint venture between the monster and Tolyatti GM Niva gave an extreme makeover. The old VAZ 2121 engine, transmission has been stuffed into a whole new body. Restyling of the Niva was made by the studio Bertone's version of Chevrolet. Chevrolet Niva also an option with the engine of the German Opel Ecotec 1.8 liter gasoline.
Meanwhile AutoVAZ still produces the Soviet style Niva SUV. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is driving one of those where to fish if not using nuclear submarine to get a tour (just an old joke totalitarian). However, Putin chose the option with the GM Opel engine. Ouch!
Niva has a fan club in the world for its environmental sustainability in Tundra-like (if it is able to start and is not blocked or stuck in a ditch). Now Russians give Chavez coverage for people who disappear after a disagreement with him. "Perhaps his Lada stalled in the rainforest, you know" ... I wonder if the Venezuelans are from the Soviet era Niva style or GM Niva Niva Putin style (see the Soviet GM engine )?
I hope that Chavez is 100% Russian Niva dilemma.
I would not think that the U.S. taxpayers' money pays going to torture people with cars Venezuelan Soviet ghost.
After all, Obama is now control 61% of GM. The idea that in 2009 the U.S. government gave Niva Lada Motors of a Botox-like lift to the Russian people is OK, but spreading the absurdity of the whole world is just too much....
