the sputnik weather station

If you're in the steampunk trend, you will enjoy the sight of this Weather Station Barometer Sputnik. Although not itself steampunk, it proposes that same look almost antique is often presented with steampunk elements. In addition, it keeps you informed of the time. It is not as technical as all digital weather stations, but it also seems much better sitting in your house. Sometimes it is good to mix a bit of obsolete technology when it looks this good.
The device will read the barometric air pressure and gives the temperature and humidity. It measures everything in degrees Celsius, so it will not work for someone in the United States. This is unless you want to run the whole conversion Fahrenheit to Celsius. The weather station is completed in the design of the brass and the sphere itself is made of Plexiglas. Of course, something that looks like this will not stand for a cheap price. It'll cost you £ 109.95 or about $ 182.

Translation help for science project..?
Mar 12, 2010 by Dominik | Posted in Languages
For a required project we are creating a weather balloon out of balsa wood, paper mache, and other various materials. Due to the major influences we have had in science class we decided to give our project a name in Russian (inspired the famous Russian Satelite "Sputnik")
(This is where the reader comes into play. We would greatly appreciate tranlation for the following names we have summed down to in Russian. Pronounciation and writing would be greatly appreciated)
-Bear
-Bear claw
-Angel
-Bear - медведь - МЕДВЕДЬ - meed-vÉt'
-Bear claw - медвежий коготь - МЕДВЕЖИЙ КОГОТЬ - meed-vÉ(h)-zhi(h) kÓ(h)-gat'
-Angel - ангел - АНГЕЛ - Á:n-gel
(h) id a silent sight like in "ghetto" to show there aren't undertones
t' is the palatalised "t" as if you want to say "tea" but say only "t"
Á:(h) - "a"like in "large", "star" or in English "past"
all capital vowels are sressed
by the way, Sputnik in Russian is спутник - СПУТНИК - spÓOtnik
