Bomber in Russian attacks is 17-year old Chechen widow
More than 50 people were killed and 100 injured in suicide bombings this week in the Moscow metro and in a city of the region's turbulent North Caucasus in Dagestan, raising fears of a bombing campaign against the new heart of Russia.
She was appointed in Dagestan-born Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova, the widow of 30 years Umalat Magomedov, a prominent insurgents killed by Russian forces on December 31.
Magomedov, who was shown in photographs holding a gun, telling him that the Emir of the Mujahideen of Dagestan Vilayat, a local Islamist group, said the source.
Officials said two female suicide bombers - known in the Russian media as "Black Widow" - has killed at least 40 people on packed trains in the Moscow metro during rush hour Monday.
"Black Widow" is a term for widows of Islamic militants killed by Russian forces.
The suicide bombings in Moscow and Dagestan following an outbreak of violence during the past year in the patchwork of republics of the North Caucasus, where Russia has fought two wars against Chechen separatists since the fall of 1991 the Soviet Union.
Islamic Chechen rebels claimed responsibility on Wednesday for attacks on Moscow Metro and threatened new attacks against Russian cities.
